On October 11 the Museum of Literature in Warsaw, Polish Institute in Budapest and the Museum of Literature in Budapest organize a one-day academic conference „The Central European Identity of Czesław Miłosz and His Place in European Culture”. Celebrations for the 100th Anniversary of Czeslaw Miłosz’s Birthday provides an important opportunity to reflect on the Nobel Prize writer and intellectual and his creative work from the perspective of the first decade of the XXI century and his role in the political and social changes in Europe.

During the conference will be presented the exhibition entitled Czesław Miłosz (1911-2004), prepared by Museum of Literature in Warsaw.

The languages of the conference are Polish and Hungarian
