The European Saxophone Ensemble - Cultural Ambassador of EU - is a dynamic group of 12 excellent young players who originate in 12 European countries. They are chosen in auditions throughout Europe. The ESE has a very large spectrum of repertoire: avant-jazz, contemporary, traditional and classical music. Their concerts provide a tasty feast of music, in which every generation will find its own language.

The artistic challenge of the ESE couldn’t be met without commissions of new pieces. The ensemble plays repertoire written especially for it by prominent European composers. The ESE’s artistic director, Cezariusz Gadzina, is an outstanding saxophonist in the fields of classical, jazz and contemporary music. The ESE was established in 2008. The ensemble has toured in Belgium, Estonia, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Romania. In 2008 it recorded the CD in Studio Toots in cooperation with KLARA- the national Belgian radio channel.

In November/December 2010 the ensemble will tour 10 European countries. More information about the group and extracts from their CD can be found on www.esax.eu
